Fabulous read!!

Another great read by Mrs. Sanders! Shelly has purchased an old building that she hopes to remodel into a boutique while living in the apartment upstairs. She knows that it will need a lot of work and is put in touch with a great contractor. Marcus has worked hard to build up his contracting business and is great at what he does. The minute he sees Shelly he knows that he will take the job to see her again.
Shelly has family issues. She is fighting to be independent from them, hoping to do what she has dreamed of doing--not what her family deems fit for her. Getting her business up and running will allow her to show her family what she is capable of doing on her own. Marcus has had to overcome some major childhood trauma. He now has a loving family and a booming business, but wonders if finding "The One" is possible with his past.
When Shelly and Marcus meet, sparks fly. She tries to keep her distance--her boutique, and independence, is very important to her right now. However, the more time they spend together, the more their attraction builds. Marcus wants to be there for her and help her. Shelly sees Marcus' pain but isn't sure fully what has happened to him. When Shelly's recent past comes back to try and pull her away, Marcus does everything in his power to help her.
I loved this story. I related to Shelly in her family struggles and wanted to see her succeed. I also loved how Marcus gave her the distance she needed while ensuring that he was always there to help however he could. When Shelly's past comes back to confront her, I was thrilled at how Marcus was right there to defend and support her. I couldn't put this book down!!

Shelly grew up as an only child in a family that always made her feel as though she weren’t welcome unless there was something in it for them. She had always been expected to dress to the nines, shop at the fanciest of stores but most of all she was expected to do as she was told, no questions asked. That all changed when she finally decided that enough was enough. She wasn’t cut out to be a doctor, it was never what she had wanted and she most definitely was not going to follow her parents latest demand. So Shelly did something that she had always wanted to do since she was a little girl, she moved to the beach and planned to open up her very own boutique. She knew that she would love living there but she never would have imagined that she would be welcomed with open arms into a family that she couldn’t help but be just a little bit envious of.
Marcus had always loved to build things, since he was little it was all that he had ever wanted to do. Now he owns one of the most successful contracting companies in the area but he feels as though something is missing. From the moment that he meets Shelly and is asked to complete the renovations on her soon to be business, he is drawn to her and realizes what’s missing. Can he get her to work through her own set of family demons or will she run when she finds out his?
This was the second story in the Grayton Series by Jill Sanders. It’s an amazing new series about a group of children that were adopted and saved by an amazing couple. Each story starts off with the main characters story of how they came to live with the Graytons and while Marcus’ story didn’t hit me as hard as Cassey’s did, it wasn’t any less horrendous. I have a feeling that book three is about Cole since it’s called Rip Tide and if so, then it’s sure to be a hit with me because while he is smoking hot, he has already met his match with Wendy. At least I certainly hope that’s who he ends up with.

Someday Beach

This is a great addition to the Grayton Series of books centering on Marcus Grayton and Shelley. Shelley had moved to the beach to open a clothing boutique on the boardwalk. She dropped out of school and used her inheritance from her grandmother to renovate the old building and attached apartment. Now all she needed was a reliable contractor to do all the work that was needed to be done. Cassey who owned the bar and grill next door recommended her brother, Marcus was an excellent contractor. Marcus did the heavy lifting and Roman his brother handled all the paperwork. They also owned a halfway house for kids that were waiting to be adopted like they once were. Marcus, Roman, Cassey and Cole along with their other sisters Julie, Cassey and Marissa who ran away years ago were adopted by the Graytons and became a blended family. Shelley ran right into Marcus and they had an immediate connection unlike anything she have ever felt with any man before. Even her ex fiance did not effect her this way having broken their engagement two months ago. They were a loving family the Graytons and took her right into their family and treated her like a family member unlike her cold controlling parents. They were forcing her to become a doctor instead of becoming a clothing designer that she wanted to be. She took some design and business courses on the side and ended up dropping out of school and following her dream after her grandmother died. Marcus had a rough beginning having been abandoned by his mother when he was six years old and the Graytons took him in and saved him from his abusive past. Marcus could build or fix anything and turned Shelleys rundown store into an amazing boutique and modern apartment upstairs. Could Marcus and Shelley open up to each other and find love? This was a sweet love story and made you feel good when you were done reading about their happily ever after. I cannot wait to read about the rest of the Grayton family. Cassey and Luke found love so now it is Romans and Cole's turn.
